Dead End(eyeshy)

can you see
there
just out of reach
in the corner alley
dead end
street
can you see
there
 beneath
streetlight broken
dead end
steet
can you see
there
beside
curbside dumpster
shelter
hide
can you see
there
in doorways lean
be still
stay back
barely breathe
can you see
there
and there
childrens shadows
everywhere
moving quiet
through the streets
flit here
and there
hear
running feet
running
running
dead end
street
searching
seeking
scraps to eat
dodging monsters
searching
seeking
children meat
fleeing police
searching
seeking
children beat
running feet
running
running
dead end street
can you see
 there
paper blankets
cardboard beds
ghosts of children
not yet dead
ghosts of children
rarely seen
only scene
in alleys
dumpsters
doorways lean
cardboard beds
or curbside dead
suffer cold
suffer heat
suffer children
dead
 end
street
